10 FAVOURITE HEROES FROM MOVIES
When you think of your favourite movie hero who would it be? Is it because they have a superpower? Or they are a genius? Is it because they save people from danger or is it about just being a good friend?
Today we look at some of your favourite movie heroes, why we admire them and what makes them worthy of being a hero.
MATILDA
Has the special ability to move objects with her mind! Teaches us it’s ok to be different to other people in your family.
Shows that there is nothing wrong being intelligent and enjoying reading.
Stands up to people who bully her, even if they are adults.
SUPERMAN
He would sacrifice his own life to save another. is against killing and always does things to improve humanity.
Saves people without wanting any glory or acknowledgment. Loves his adoptive family as though they were his real parents.
Has amazing superpowers like x-ray vision, super hearing, super strength and heat vision but doesn’t use it for bad things. He can also fly!
SHREK
Even though he’s not the typical, good-looking hero, Shrek shows it doesn’t matter what you look like, you can always help someone else and accept yourself.
Shrek is loyal, devoted and selfless to his friends.
He thinks his wife is beautiful in whatever form she takes (human or ogre) and just wants her to be happy with herself.
MULAN
She disguised herself as a man and took her elderly father’s place in the army – because she couldn’t bear to see him go to war.
Mulan cared above her family above everything else and didn’t want to get married, instead wanting to care for her father and brother.
She was extremely brave and was trained in kung-fu Mulan earned the respect of everyone in the army.
Has a strong desire to protect her country any way she could.
WONDER WOMAN
Shows us that girls can be just as strong as boys.
She left the comfort of her home to help humankind. Stands up for people that can’t stand up for themselves, with love and kindness, without asking for anything in return.
She has superhuman strength, speed and reflexes.
SPIDERMAN/PETER PARKER
He’s a bit of a nerd, his family doesn’t have much money, he gets bullied at school and if people knew he was Spiderman his life would improve but he wouldn’t be able to keep his loved ones safe.
He can shoot webs from his hands, has spidey senses and the ability to climb walls, like a real spider.
He is a great teammate. Since his creation he has teamed up with not just with The Avengers, but also Superman!
ANNA FROM FROZEN
Even though her sister has the magic powers, Anna is the one who is able to save her and bring her home safely.
She doesn’t let a boy do all the work for her, she’s adventurous, brave and will stop at nothing to save her sister.
Anna was the only person who didn’t think her sister Elsa was a monster and risks her life to save her.
HARRY POTTER
He’s has cool wizard powers such as being able to cast spells, curses and fly on a broom.
Is willing to sacrifice himself to save the world from Voldemort.
He cares deeply about his friends and his friends are inspired by his leadership and bravery and are willing to die for him.
Does many brave deeds even though he is scared and unsure of himself.
MOANA
Has a passion for adventure and sailing on the ocean. She goes against her father’s wishes to go on a quest far away for her home to find the solution to saving her island. Moana is the “chosen one” and not even a demi-god can save the day!
If you work for what you believe in without giving up, you will eventually succeed.
BLACK PANTHER/ T’CHALLA
The first African superhero ever! He comes from the fictional Wakanda, the most technologically advanced country in the world that is also hidden to protect it.
He risked his kingdom and country to protect the world. Has a magical connection with the Wakandan Panther god which gives him superhuman strength, speed, healing and reflexes.
