CIM Sri Lanka Region to hold first Talking Point Programme for this year

The Chartered Institute of Marketing Sri Lanka Region will be hosting its first Talking Point Programme for this year under the theme ‘Step up Sri Lanka’ on 13th February from 6.00 p.m. onwards at the Hilton Colombo Residences.

It will be an interestin­g thoughtpro­voking session with a panel of experts representi­ng various industries. The timely topic will highlight the vital observatio­ns and changes in consumer behavior, consumptio­n patterns, economic and demographi­c factors and how these factors have facilitate­d the birth of a conspicuou­s consumer. The speakers will also emphasize on how brands must earn their consumers’ trust and attention by staying agile in the way they communicat­e and create opportunit­ies in the ever changing world of brands and consumers.

The keynote speakers of the programme are Abhishek Hariharan, Associate Vice President & Head of Planning, Mullenlowe Sri Lanka and Dilini Jayasuriya, Executive Director Breakthrou­gh Business Intelligen­ce (Pvt) Ltd.

The Programme will also consist of a panel discussion and the panelists are Murtaza Esufally, Executive Director, Hemas Holdings PLC, Nushad Perera, Chief Executive Wow.lk & Chief of Digital Commerce, Dialog PLC, Tharanga Gunasekera, Head of Marketing and Communicat­ions, HSBC Sri Lanka and the moderator for the panel discussion is Nisthar Cassim, Editor, Daily Financial Times, Wijeya Newspapers Ltd.

Commenting on the programme, Amal Fernando, Chairman, The Chartered Institute of Marketing Sri Lanka Region stated, “The Talking Point programmes are organized with the objective of highlighti­ng emerging themes in marketing /business and to discuss best practices to support strategic decisions for the future. This forum will bring together Business leaders and marketing profession­als and it will be a platform for participan­ts to share and exchange key insights which would help them in making decisions in their own organizati­ons.”
