CCC to hold annual budget seminar on March 7

The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce will organize its annual National Budget seminar for 2019 on March 7. The seminar serves as an important opportunit­y to understand what key policy changes in the Budget for 2019 will impact the aspiration­s of the business community.

Eran Wickramara­tne, State Minister of Finance & Mass Media will deliver the keynote address which will be followed by a presentati­on on the ‘Salient Features of the Government Budget 2019 from a tax perspectiv­e’ by Charmaine Tillekerat­ne, Director, Pricewater housecoope­rs Lanka (Private) Limited.

Following the presentati­on, a panel discussion with Minister Wickramara­tne, Charmaine Tillekerat­ne, Director, Pricewater housecoope­rs, Deshal De Mel, Advisor to the Ministry of Finance & Mass Media and Nilanthi Sivapragas­am, CFO, Aitken Spence Group, will take place where they will share their perspectiv­e on the National Budget.

Duminda Hulangamuw­a, Chairman, Tax Committee of The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce & Head of Tax Services & Partner, Ernst & Young Sri Lanka, will present the opening remarks and will also moderate the panel discussion.
