CDB launches CDB Mastercard credit cards

-

With its constant quest to improve the bar of customer service excellence through innovative and accessible product and service offerings, Citizens Development Business Finance PLC (CDB) launched its newest product, CDB credit cards, into its expansive portfolio.

Having already launched its now highly popular VISA debit cards, the CDB credit card doesn’t simply encompass the conventional credit principles applicable to such products, but rather has added a significant number of value additions, making these credit cards a very attractive proposition in a growing market.

While the five card segments being launched will have a lifetime annual fee waiver, CDB also uses its revolutionary IT platform via the CDB icontrol app to ensure that credit card holders will have complete control over spends for better individual budgeting purposes. The payment period too has been extended to 55 days.

The card segments are presented in Standard, Gold, Titanium, Platinum and World each with unparalleled benefits and considerable financial advantages to the card holder. Senior Manager - Credit Card Sales Steve Gabriel affirms that CDB’S credit cards present card holders with rewards that are unprecedented in the industry.

“With the card accepted by merchants worldwide given our tie up with Mastercard, we promise our card holders entrance into a world of luxury prompting a sense of freedom and financial independence. The lifetime waiver of the annual fee in addition to the 55 day credit payment period are all immense advantages to the card holder who in current times is always juggling individual budgets.”

It is the CDB icontrol app that remains the biggest positive in these newly launched credit cards. Once downloaded onto a mobile phone, card holders empower themselves with complete control over credit card spends. “This customised self-care app tracks spending and manages finances with the simple touch of a button where the customer has full control over the credit card usage,” says General Manager, Emergent Business Information Technology Naguib Imdaad.

“This means total management of the card’s status whether online transactions, overseas transactions country wise and merchant categories. These spends can be viewed through our spend analyser in a graphic data presentation which shows all details including merchant categories and also enables the card holder to self-impose a sub-limit on the credit given for usage, a definite stimulus to managing budgets.”

He explains that the card holder can decide on the countries and merchant categories the card can be used for and also in the event a card is lost or stolen, the app enables an instant block to ensure absolute safety and security. “Another advantage with the CDB icontrol self care app is that it eliminates the hassle of contacting the call center to manage the card, a definite value addition in our offering,” he concludes.

He adds that CDB presents customers an opportunity to experience new lifestyles, which otherwise are dependent on a higher criteria eligibility. “Our proposition, ‘A Luxury that’s all yours’ and our Unique Selling Propositions including the lifetime annual fee waiver and the Cdbicontrol self-care app have added significant value to the conventional credit card.”
