Advantages of E-government

-

Nowadays, E-government is a very consequential concept in the business world. The use of e-government is increasing continually with new technology and globalization. The governments of specific countries are trying to offer their maximum services to their citizens trough E-government.

E-government means, providing public services to their citizens and others by using electronic and communication devices in a specific country or region. There are six types of E-government services such as government to citizens (G2C), government to business (G2C), government to employee (G2C), government to business (G2B), government to employee (G2E) and government to government (G2G).

Commonly, E-government is offering different kinds of services to their citizens in businesses to employees and other parties via the internet. As examples, e-procurement, filling tax returns, renewing ID, passport or driving licence using all forms and applications required to starting a business with access to the internet. Likewise, today all activities are happening very easily and quickly thanks to E-government.

But, in the early decades, it was very difficult to get work done in the public service because at government offices people had to waste their time, energy and money to fulfill their tasks. Since E-government was introduced, every task can be done in a very short time without any delay.

This is what is needed for a developing country. Because of this service every person in the country is satisfied with the public service. And also they can be encouraged to come-up with innovations due to the support of the Government. This is only one advantage, but there are more that can be obtained.
