ISAC starts in Colombo today
The International Schools’ Athletics Championship (ISAC) will commence today (15) and will conclude on Sunday (17) at the Sugathadasa Stadium in Colombo.
Over 1,500 athletes from 21 international schools will participate in this meet and 350 technical officials will officiate at the event.
A total of 162 events are scheduled to take place at the meet. Meanwhile, Rohini Alles, Managing Director, Gateway Group will be the Chief Guest at the opening ceremony which is scheduled for tomorrow (16).
Sri Lanka’s cricketing legend, Kumar Sangakkara will grace the closing ceremony as the Chief Guest.
The following schools will be participating at the meet: Asian International School, Alethea International School, Belvoir College International, The British School in Colombo, Colombo International School, Colombo International School, Kandy, Elizabeth Moir International School, Gateway College, Colombo, Gateway College, Kandy, Leeds International School, Lyceum International School, Nugegoda, Lyceum International School, Panadura, Lyceum International School, Ratnapura, Lyceum International School, Wattala, OKI International School, The Overseas School of Colombo, Regent International College, Royal Institute, Colombo, Stafford International School, St.nicholas’ International College and Wycherley International School.
