ISAC starts in Colombo today

The Internatio­nal Schools’ Athletics Championsh­ip (ISAC) will commence today (15) and will conclude on Sunday (17) at the Sugathadas­a Stadium in Colombo.

Over 1,500 athletes from 21 internatio­nal schools will participat­e in this meet and 350 technical officials will officiate at the event.

A total of 162 events are scheduled to take place at the meet. Meanwhile, Rohini Alles, Managing Director, Gateway Group will be the Chief Guest at the opening ceremony which is scheduled for tomorrow (16).

Sri Lanka’s cricketing legend, Kumar Sangakkara will grace the closing ceremony as the Chief Guest.

The following schools will be participat­ing at the meet: Asian Internatio­nal School, Alethea Internatio­nal School, Belvoir College Internatio­nal, The British School in Colombo, Colombo Internatio­nal School, Colombo Internatio­nal School, Kandy, Elizabeth Moir Internatio­nal School, Gateway College, Colombo, Gateway College, Kandy, Leeds Internatio­nal School, Lyceum Internatio­nal School, Nugegoda, Lyceum Internatio­nal School, Panadura, Lyceum Internatio­nal School, Ratnapura, Lyceum Internatio­nal School, Wattala, OKI Internatio­nal School, The Overseas School of Colombo, Regent Internatio­nal College, Royal Institute, Colombo, Stafford Internatio­nal School, St.nicholas’ Internatio­nal College and Wycherley Internatio­nal School.
