Jeewa Australian Education Centre is the number one Australian Education Consultancy provider for students in Sri Lanka. Mrs. Oshanthi Watawana, the Manager of International Operations of Jeewa Education shared with us about this education consultancy centre and the details about the ‘Australian Education Roadshow’.

Established 15 years ago, the founding director of this successful consultancy centre is Mrs. Sujeewa Fernando and Mr. Kolitha Fernando who is the current Managing Director. Their aim in establishing such a service was to share their own experiences while they were studying in Australia because at that time period, there weren’t many institutions where students could get information about pursuing their studies in Australia. With this aim in mind, the first office was established in Panadura.

Their services grew with time and Jeewa Education gradually expanded their network. At present, there are four branches. Namely they are in; Panadura, Battaramulla, Kandy and in Colombo 03 where it is named as Jeewa Premier. Taking a huge step ahead, Jeewa Education opened two more branches overseas, one in Melbourne and the other in Brisbane. The sole purpose in establishing two more branches overseas was to support and provide guidance to the students from Sri Lanka who are going to Australia while their stay at Australia.

Jeewa Education is collaborating with more than 50 universities, institutes, colleges and tertiary vocational education centres across Australia and also a couple of universities in Canada and New Zealand. The fields of courses that they direct and guide students are of a vast area including not only fields like accounting, management, engineering, nursing but also automobile, fashion designing like areas of study.

Being the pioneer of providing consultancy services to students who wish to study in Australia, it could be stated that Jeewa Education contributes to 10% of the total volume of students who are going to Australia.

The special feature of Jeewa Education is that even though they provide the students with many services like guiding the students in choosing an appropriate well recognized university and a degree course to suit their expectations as well their affordability, helping them with the visa procedures, guiding them through the documentations, and being with them the entire studying period, they charge no service charges for these. All these services are provided free of charge because they consider this service they do as an honourable thing which is helping a young life choose a path to pursue in their life. Helping a student in deciding what their future is going to be like is considered with utmost importance. Even the offices in Melbourne and Brisbane who would be helping the students after they arrive in Australia will charge no payments for their services. If the student wishes to change their path of course or wishes to transfer from the university to another or even if they need to extend their visas or are need in guidance in any sort of issue while they are in Australia, these offices present over in Australia will help and support them so their parents are ensured a peace of mind after your children fly away.

Jeewa Education has been organizing “Australian Education Roadshow” for the past few years, twice a year, one in February and the other in September where they open an opportunity for students to meet the university representatives face to face. For the 5th consecutive time, this event will be held this February too.

On the 23rd of February, from 10am to 4pm it will be held in Kandy at Grand Kandyan and on the 24th of February it will be held at Galadari Hotel, Colombo from 10am until 6pm.

There will be representatives from more than 40 educational institutes from all the territories around Australia and the entrance and registration for this event will be free. Counselours from Jeewa Education will be there to guide the students and help them communicate properly with the Australian university representatives. So anyone who wishes to study in Australia may attend this event where you can meet the university representatives themselves and get information and clear out any inquiries you may have. They would even share about the job employability since that is also important when choosing a degree programme.

Further, British Council will be offering some scholarships for ILETS classes on this day. And ‘My Flight Zone’ which is a travel agency will be offering discounts for tickets and baggage allowances too.
