Seminar on facilities management global best practices in Sri Lanka
The National Chamber of Commerce is hosting a seminar on February 28th from 2.00 to 5.00 p.m.
The resource person for this seminar is CEO and Global Solutions Director, Richard Davies of Evolve Business Excellence (Evbex) who has over 30 years’ experience in Facilities management.
He has held senior operational roles managing large facilities management contracts for the last 15 years, and has advised the board and senior representatives of numerous organizations in the UK and globally on this subject. He has a track record of generating sustainable cost savings and efficiencies whilst simultaneously improving quality and service standards. His passion is to establish demonstrable best value outcomes and he has pioneered a revolutionary standard (Quality-value index) to guide organizations towards ‘World Class’ FM services. He is a visiting lecturer in several universities and is also on the panel of ISO 41001 and is involved in its implementation in several large British companies.
Facility management (FM) is a profession that covers a number of disciplines to ensure functionality, comfort, safety and efficiency of the built environment by integrating people, place, process and technology.
The International Organization for Standardization defines facilities management as the “organizational function which integrates people, place and process within the built environment with the purpose of improving the quality of life of people and the productivity of the core business.”
Richard Davies whilst being in Sri Lanka to deliver a workshop for the National Chamber of Commerce, will also be meeting various clients who are interested in pursuing this field further both in the private and government sectors.
