Seminar on facilities management global best practices in Sri Lanka

The National Chamber of Commerce is hosting a seminar on February 28th from 2.00 to 5.00 p.m.

The resource person for this seminar is CEO and Global Solutions Director, Richard Davies of Evolve Business Excellence (Evbex) who has over 30 years’ experience in Facilities management.

He has held senior operationa­l roles managing large facilities management contracts for the last 15 years, and has advised the board and senior representa­tives of numerous organizati­ons in the UK and globally on this subject. He has a track record of generating sustainabl­e cost savings and efficienci­es whilst simultaneo­usly improving quality and service standards. His passion is to establish demonstrab­le best value outcomes and he has pioneered a revolution­ary standard (Quality-value index) to guide organizati­ons towards ‘World Class’ FM services. He is a visiting lecturer in several universiti­es and is also on the panel of ISO 41001 and is involved in its implementa­tion in several large British companies.

Facility management (FM) is a profession that covers a number of discipline­s to ensure functional­ity, comfort, safety and efficiency of the built environmen­t by integratin­g people, place, process and technology.

The Internatio­nal Organizati­on for Standardiz­ation defines facilities management as the “organizati­onal function which integrates people, place and process within the built environmen­t with the purpose of improving the quality of life of people and the productivi­ty of the core business.”

Richard Davies whilst being in Sri Lanka to deliver a workshop for the National Chamber of Commerce, will also be meeting various clients who are interested in pursuing this field further both in the private and government sectors.
