Cotton Collection’s flagship brand ‘COCO’ has launched its ‘Spring 2019’ line, celebrating creation with feminine florals and petal soft pastels that take patrons on a fashion journey inspired by the new beginnings symbolized by the season.

Aptly titled ‘Flower People’ by COCO, the new collection pays homage to the magical season of spring and the wonderful blooms and hues it brings with it.

An iconic brand, Cotton Collection was acquired by the Softlogic Group of Companies in August 2018 as a fully-owned subsidiary of Odel Plc. ‘Flower People by COCO’ is the first collection launched under the custodianship of the group, channelling group synergies to create a superior fashion experience for Cotton Collection customers.

Inspired by designers who lean towards the bohemian, surrealist feel such as Carolina Herrera, Oscar De La Renta and Peter Pilotto, the collection showcases a number of pieces that are curated with unique, signature elements; 2018’s moody floral theme continues, with a more legere, whimsical spin, updated with flamencostyle ruffles, tiers and wide-cuff smock details for a look that’s perfect for spring soirées.

Spring is further personified with Cotton Collection’s signature cotton feel, alongside styles that include floaty materials, intricate crochets and delicate lace panels in a pastel-adjacent, soft colour palette of peach, beige, mint and lavender. Large blossoms, spaced floral prints, matching two-piece ensembles and iconic COCO aesthetics take centre stage, inviting shoppers to make a bold fashion statement that’s feminine, daring and playful. The end result is a dreamy, floral, fashion experience that would be the embodiment of the efflorescence associated with springtime.

‘The Softlogic group’s fashion portfolio is all about delivering a top of the line, international, fashion-forward fashion experience to our Sri Lankan customers. It is refreshing to have a home-grown brand like Cotton Collection in the mix with its distinctively bohemian touch, which certainly adds diversity to the portfolio,’ said Desiree Karunaratne, Group Marketing Director of Softlogic Holdings, which owns Cotton Collection.

Cotton Collection’s flagship brand COCO speaks to the free-spirited, independent, bohemian COCO – girl, with its comfortably stylish and carefree silhouettes coming in the label’s singular choice of fabric: Cotton. The Spring 2019 collection was exclusively produced by a community of female entrepreneurs, whose entrepreneurial initiatives support and uplift local production communities.
