SLASSCOM IT/BPM Exporters Forum 2019 tomorrow

The Sri Lanka Associatio­n of Software and Service Companies (SLASSCOM)’S IT/BPM Exporters Forum is to be held tomorrow, at Hatch Works, Colombo, to create awareness among companies and delegates on how to take business beyond borders.

Titled ‘Economic Diplomacy and Getting the Best From a Mission’, the event sets a platform for ICT/BPM exporters to share their past experience and knowledge gained from outward missions, internatio­nal trade shows and provide a glimpse to the Economic Diplomacy Programme under the National Export Strategy.

The forum will offer the perfect blend of exploring and accelerati­ng the avenues to global market reach and acts as a networking opportunit­y for introducti­ons to potential overseas business alliances, right methods of approachin­g the global market place and empowering on opportunit­ies available on the Economic Diplomacy Programme.

The key speakers to be featured are Foreign Affairs Secretary Ambassador Ravinatha Aryasinha, Export Developmen­t Board Export Services Division Assistant Director Ravindi Ranaraja, zmessenger LLC Cofounder and CEO Jayomi Lokuliyana, i-context Content Convergenc­e (Pvt.) Limited Co-founder and CEO Anjana Ratnasara and Informatio­n and Communicat­ions Technology Agency of Sri Lanka Programme Manager Sachindra Samararatn­e.

Further, the year 2019 kicked off with a workshop on the National Export Strategy and Market Access Support Programme, which was held in January, at the Institute of Policy Studies, spearheade­d by SLASSCOM, along with the Export Developmen­t Board, with the goal of educating the companies and delegates on the strategic objectives of the National Export Strategy and the funding available for individual­s who are interested in being part of outward missions.

The purpose of these events is to provide a complete picture to the IT/BPM exporters of the activities initiated under the National Export Strategy and to accelerate the opportunit­ies to global market reach in order to drive the vision 2022 in generating US $ 5 billion of revenue, 200,000 workforce and 1000 start-ups.
