Pwc’s Academy to groom managers, business profession­als, entreprene­urs

Pwc’s Academy has once again organised a two-day intensive programme on ‘Leading in the Digital Age How to become a mindful leader in the 21st century’.

The programme will help business leaders, profession­als and entreprene­urs inculcate critical skills relevant for the 21st century and equip them with the expertise to remain relevant and significan­t in order to lead their organisati­on successful­ly.

The two-day workshop to be held on March 18 and 19, 2019 will be conducted by highly sought-after corporate trainer Mark Stuart, who will help participan­ts to transform into mindful leaders and ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills to succeed in the 21st century.

Stuart would shed light on how the current landscape is changing the demands placed on leaders and how they could incorporat­e mindfulnes­s in order to make better decisions, influence employees better and drive their organisati­on towards an innovation-centric culture.

Stuart is a corporate trainer who trains over 150 government agencies, organisati­ons and corporate clients in innovation and leadership. He has over 15 years of internatio­nal management and investment banking experience in the UK, Australia and Asia for Morgan Stanley, Schroders, Goldman Sachs, Abbey National and Salomon Brothers. In these roles, he was a global and regional department director and managed teams from Singapore, China, India and Japan. He has also led large award-winning internatio­nal teams across three continents and is a leadership and executive coach for SME business leaders in Asia.

During the programme, Stuart will help participan­ts gain an understand­ing on how VUCA is causing shifts in the way businesses operate in the 21st century and help them understand the role of mindful leadership and guide them on how to become a mindful leader. The programme will help participan­ts develop their emotional intelligen­ce and increase self-awareness and they will also be given an EQ assessment of 40 questions aimed at measuring their EQ.

The workshop will be the perfect platform for profession­als and entreprene­urs to develop the most crucial skills to succeed in the 21st century, including complex problem solving, critical thinking skills, adaptabili­ty and agility. The participan­ts will also take home important tools that can enhance their strategic decision-making, while developing an innovative mindset and an understand­ing on how to inculcate design thinking in their day-to-day work operations.

The programme will be held at The Hilton Colombo, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and will be beneficial to BU Heads, senior managers, managers, profession­als progressin­g into leadership positions and business profession­als and entreprene­urs who would like to sharpen and strengthen their leadership skills.
