CIMA to hold centenary event for banking and finance industry members

The Chartered Institute of Management Accountant­s (CIMA) Sri Lanka will be organising a series of member developmen­t events during this centenary year to celebrate the CIMA members in diverse industries.

The initial event titled ‘Banking & Finance – Technologi­cal Advancemen­ts: Opportunit­ies and Challenges’ will be held on March 12, 2019, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at the CIMA auditorium, Colombo 5.

The session will include presentati­ons followed by a panel discussion with eminent personalit­ies. The presentati­on on ‘Global technologi­cal advancemen­t trends in banking and finance and opportunit­ies for Sri Lanka’ will be delivered by N-able Managing Director and CEO Peter D’almeida while Sanasa Developmen­t Bank CEO Thilak Piyadigama will address ‘Technologi­cal developmen­ts in Sri Lankan banking and finance industry – opportunit­ies realised and challenges faced’ in his presentati­on.

The panel session will be moderated by LOLC Group Group Chief Informatio­n Officer Conrad Dias FCMA, CGMA.

In addition to both speakers, Lanka Clear CEO Channa de Silva and Cargills Bank Chief Operating Officer/chief Informatio­n Officer Rohan Muttiah will join the panel discussion.

This event is an initiative of the CIMA Member Developmen­t Committee and entry is free of charge.
