Samsung named People’s Youth Choice Brand of the Year once again

Samsung, Sri Lanka’s largest smartphone­s and consumer electronic­s Brand was awarded People’s Youth Choice Brand of the Year at the recently concluded SLIM Nielson People’s Awards held at Waters Edge.

This is the second year in a row that Samsung has become People’s Youth Choice Brand of the year while also being nominated in the categories of SLIM Nielsen People’s Brand of the year and SLIM Nielsen People’s Durable brand of the year.

The South Korean conglomera­te has illustrate­d unwavering consistenc­y maintainin­g its dominance. Samsung continues to display its determined supremacy due to its innovative products coupled with aggressive marketing initiative­s, which have contribute­d to the brand’s success in Sri Lanka and worldwide. Samsung began its journey in Sri Lanka in 2010, and in over a decade, it has grown into one of the country’s biggest consumer product companies.

Slim-nielsen Peoples Awards are organized by the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing, the national body for marketing in Sri Lanka, in associatio­n with Nielsen Company, probably the largest marketing research company in the world. These awards reach out to masses to learn their favorite brand which is what makes these awards truly special as they reflect the customer’s choice.
