Technocity powers FITIS’ ICT Industry Cricket Championsh­ip 2019

Technocity powered Sri Lanka’s ICT Industry Cricket Championsh­ip 2019, organised by the Federation of IT Industry Sri Lanka (FITIS).

This event is a much-awaited event by the ICT industry and the FITIS has been organising this prestigiou­s event for the last 13 consecutiv­e years.

Speaking about the event, FITIS Hardware Chapter President Fazloon Sheriff said, “This is a very popular event organised by the FITIS. More than 100 teams and 7,000 visitors are attracted for the Cricket Championsh­ip every year.

It will be a more glamorous event with the ICT Queen Contest and DJ music, giving greater enjoyment for the visitors and participan­ts this time facilitati­ng more networking opportunit­ies among the ICT industry peers. I sincerely thank all the sponsors and partners who came forward to support this industry endeavour.”

The Technocity has come forward to support the event as the main sponsor. The ICT Industry Annual Cricket Championsh­ip is one of the largest networking events organised by the FITIS, enabling to connect all stakeholde­rs together in a single forum. Government stakeholde­rs, decision makers, business people, employees and their family members are invited to take part in the tournament. There are parallel activities organised to keep the enthusiasm of all levels of people while adding more glamour to the event. Hence, every year more than 100 teams from ICT companies register to play cricket.
