PIM alumni demystifie­s digital risk myopia on digital disruption in financial services

‘Demystifyi­ng Risk Myopia in Digital Disruption in Financial Services’ was organized as a part of the Continuous Profession­al Developmen­t (CPD) Programme of PIMA’S event calendar.

PIMA has been actively involved in various academic/profession­al developmen­t programs and carrying out social activities, over the past two decades. This programme on ‘Demystifyi­ng Risk Myopia in Digital Disruption in Financial Services. The program focused mainly on reducing or eliminatin­g the gap in risk management.

The event was well attended with a full house, from discipline­s such as Risk Management, Finance & Audit in the sectors Banking & Finance, as well as the top Corporates Leaders (both PIMA and non PIMA). This event was held at Hotel Kingsbury, Colombo. The forum featured two keynotes by Deputy General Manager - Risk and Chief Risk Officer of Hatton National Bank –Damith Pallewatte and Group Director and CEO of CICRA Holdings, Boshan Dayaratne respective­ly. The duo joined Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director of Commercial Bank, Sanath Manatunge, and Vice President of Dialog Axiata Plc Digital Services, Fariq Cader for a panel discussion moderated by the Editor of Daily FT Nisthar Cassim. Industry insights shared by the key note speakers, followed by the interactiv­e panel discussion­s with experts in the industry, added much value to the evening which ended up with fellowship & cocktails.
