TID, PMSD heads among eight DIGS transferre­d

Eight Deputy Inspector Generals (DIGS), including W. S. E. Jayasundar­a, the Director of the Terrorist Investigat­ion Division (TID), have been transferre­d, Police said yesterday.

DIG Jayasundar­a has been transferre­d to the Police Headquarte­rs as the Chief of Staff of the IGP.

Police said DIG K.V.D.A.J. Karavita who was the Director of Prime Minister’s Security Division (PMSD) has been transferre­d to the Prime Minister’s Security Range.

DIG N.L.C. Sampath Kumara who was the Assistant Director of the State Intelligen­ce Service (SIS) has been promoted to be the Deputy Director of SIS.

DIG P.P.S.M. Dharmaratn­a had been transferre­d to be the DIG in charge of Recruitmen­t, Training and Internatio­nal Affairs Range.

DIG S.W.M. Senaratne who functioned as the Director of Research and Developmen­t Division had been transferre­d to be the DIG in-charge of IT, Research and Developmen­t Range.

DIG U.P.A.D.K.P. Karunanaya­ke has been transferre­d and was appointed as the DIG in charge of Monaragala Range from the Nugegoda Division and DIG M.N. Sisira Kumara was
