TID, PMSD heads among eight DIGS transferred

Eight Deputy Inspector Generals (DIGS), including W. S. E. Jayasundara, the Director of the Terrorist Investigation Division (TID), have been transferred, Police said yesterday.

DIG Jayasundara has been transferred to the Police Headquarters as the Chief of Staff of the IGP.

Police said DIG K.V.D.A.J. Karavita who was the Director of Prime Minister’s Security Division (PMSD) has been transferred to the Prime Minister’s Security Range.

DIG N.L.C. Sampath Kumara who was the Assistant Director of the State Intelligence Service (SIS) has been promoted to be the Deputy Director of SIS.

DIG P.P.S.M. Dharmaratna had been transferred to be the DIG in charge of Recruitment, Training and International Affairs Range.

DIG S.W.M. Senaratne who functioned as the Director of Research and Development Division had been transferred to be the DIG in-charge of IT, Research and Development Range.
