Creative Software partners Swedish ehealth startup, Kind

The world is quickly moving towards digitalised healthcare services in order to meet the demands that increasing and ageing populations are putting on existing healthcare providers.

Currently, many developed countries are spending in excess of 10 percent of GDP on healthcare and this figure will continue to grow unless the delivery of healthcare can become more efficient.

Scandinavia is a forerunner in this field and has come a long way in the deployment of e-healthcare systems. Statistics show that Sweden already holds a top 10 position among countries with the most favourable environment for digital health solutions and recently the Swedish Government approved the “e-health Vision 2025” which calls on Sweden to be the best in the world in using digitalisation to improve access to quality healthcare.

This should come as no surprise - with an average per capita spend of almost US$5,000 and an ageing population, Sweden has every incentive to improve the efficiency of healthcare delivery.

Creative Software recently partnered with Kind, a Swedish start-up in the e-health industry. Kind’s goal is for everyone to have easy access to healthcare. They facilitate better patient-doctor communication and knowledge sharing through a sophisticated mobile e-health app. Their ambition is to make the healthcare professionals’ knowledge available to anyone, anywhere, anytime.

The startup’s guiding philosophy is to place the patient at the centre of their treatment rather than making them passive recipients of care, or as Kind’s CEO and Founder Charlotta Tönsgård puts it: “In order to meet the challenges of today and tomorrow, we must take assistance from technology to scale healthcare exponentially. Our mission is to provide superpowers to the healthcare heroes and bespoke care for the individual.”

Commenting on their relationship with Creative Software she said: “We chose Creative Software as our partner because they came with excellent references from well-known e-health companies in Scandinavia. They have been in the industry for a long time and I feel confident they are the right partner for us to help us scale our business quickly.”

Creative Software’s extensive e-health portfolio and two decades of experience in building highperforming dedicated teams in Sri Lanka has made the company a partner of choice for Scandinavian healthcare companies.

Channa, a Software Director overseeing Kind, said: “We have built a strong portfolio in the ehealth industry and Kind is our latest partner. We have worked with start-ups as well as market leaders. It is a pleasure to run the extra mile for a start-up such as Kind, with their mission to improve people’s life in a very tangible way.”
