Keeping his distance!

-

An important function was held at the BMICH the other day with the participation of a number of VIPS in the country. Among the distinguished guests present at the function were the Number One and some bigwigs from the main political parties.

Seating had been arranged for top political personalities in the front row close to the seat reserved for the Chief Guest.

Minutes before the function got underway, a roly-poly Blue Party senior, who walked in began looking for the seat reserved for him. Given his senior status, a seat for him had been arranged close to that of the Chief Guest.

The Blue senior who walked up to the seat looked around and spotting a person whom he took for an organizer called him and asked him to arrange a seat for him at a distance from that of the Chief Guest. The organizer hurriedly exchanged the seat for a one reserved for another party senior.

When the Blue senior took his new seat a party stalwart already seated next to that seat inquired from him why opted for a seat distant from those reserved for the distinguished guests of the first order. The roly-poly senior looked around for a moment and replied in a low tone: “We have got politically stranded as a result of moving closely with this boss. Therefore, I have now decided to distance myself from him… By the way, I have already planned to meet the former boss and get set for the upcoming general poll under his leadership…”

The party stalwart appeared stunned by this reply, nevertheless kept quiet, they say.
