MEET Happy , Nala & Pearl
Rau has her hands full with her three adorable cats Happy, Nala and Pearl, but she wouldn’t have it any other way. Rau shares that not only do they all ensure that everyday is a good day, they also add a dose of excitement to her life.
Q HOW DID YOU FIND YOUR PETS?
Happy was given to me by a friend. Nala and Pearl are her kids and also my babies.
Q WHAT’S THE STORY BEHIND THE NAMES YOU’VE GIVEN?
I got Happy during a really sad time. The first time I saw her was the happiest I felt in days and I named her Happy cause of that. And ever since then, she has been my happy bubble.
NALA AND PEARL: Nala and Pearl were called Tappy and Pappy for sometime. And I wanted to change those silly names so badly and ended up naming them Nala and Pearl.
Q WHAT ARE MEAL TIMES AND BATH TIMES LIKE?
MEAL TIMES: They have like multiple meal times. Wake up, eat, go out play around for hours and they don’t even remember what food is until I miss them and shake their food container. So during the day, they eat less compared to the night. During the night they’ll meow for food a lot cause they are bored. But, if they smell fish, they wont stop meowing until they get to taste it. Typical cattos they are.
BATH TIMES : The worst time of their life. 3 of them hates bath time. Nala and Happy would run around the whole bathroom to save themselves from water. Pearl on the other hand would stay without running, but she does the silliest thing and goes and gets inside the bin to hide herself from me.
Q WHAT ARE THEIR FAVOURITE THINGS TO DO?
Happy’s favourite thing to do is exploring the garden. No matter how many times she’s explored the same place, she will do it over and over again. Nala’s favourite thing to do is staring at the birds from the roof. she’d stay up on the roof for hours watching birds and squirrels run around. Pearl’s favourite thing to do is running around the house. She would run after me or mom or anyone she sees inside the house. Also she loves playtime. She is the most playful cat ever.
Q WHAT ARE THE NAUGHTIEST THINGS THEY HAVE DONE?
Happy, Nala and Pearl, three of them have a tendency of scratching the sofas. They know they are not allowed to do it but every single time they get a kick while running, they’ll climb on the sofas and start scratching. And if me or mum call their name, they’ll run away even faster.
Q HOW DO THEY REACT WHEN YOU GET HOME?
They’ll come right to the doorstep to greet me and start rubbing their body on my legs.
Q DO THEY DO ANYTHING OUT OF THE ORDINARY WHICH FASCINATES YOU?
Yes! Pearl and Nala gives soft kisses from time to time. Happy on the other hand would bring dead rats as gifts. I know! it’s so eww and makes me so angry.
Q WHAT’S THE BEST THING ABOUT THEM?
They are all really sweet and loves cuddles.
Q WHAT WAS THE MOST UNFORGETTABLE MOMENT YOU’VE SHARED WITH YOUR PETS?
When I got chicken pox, Happy stayed with me all the time comforting me with her cuteness. During this time, that silly ate some Neam leaves and got constipation.
