HOMELAND FINAL SEASON TRAILER
Shows Claire Danes’ Carrie Mathison in an intense interrogation
After seven years of intense drama in the United States and abroad, it may all be coming to an end for Claire Danes’ Carrie
Mathison in the final season of Homeland. Showtime has released the first trailer for the eighth and final season of the hit drama series, which debuts Sunday, February 9 at 9 PM ET. While the trailer doesn't show much footage, it seems Mathison's allegiance to her country is being called into question.
The trailer begins with Mathison in an interrogation room, with a camera recording, as a man grills her about her work. ‘Have you ever conspired with a foreign intelligence officer or service?' the man asks, with
Mathison responding, ‘Are you accusing me of something? Another character is seen in flashback saying, ‘They killed him because of you,' along with a quick shot of Peter Quinn
(Rupert Friend) who was shockingly killed at the end of Season 6.
The interrogator then asks if she has, ‘ever revealed the identity of an asset,' while another flashback shows Saul Berenson
(Mandy Patinkin) plainly stating, ‘everyone breaks under Russian interrogation.'
Mathison then angrily states, ‘I lost seven months of my life,' as the interrogator believes they may be, ‘dealing with a compromised officer here.'
There are a number of overlapping lines of dialogue from various characters interspersed with random shots including, ‘This is what happens to a traitor.'
Mathison is then seen wearing a burka, emphatically telling someone, ‘I never told anyone his name'. The trailer ends with the interrogator asking Mathison, ‘How can you be so sure if there's 180 days of your life you don't remember?' Also returning for the final season are Nimrat Kaur
(Tanseem Qureishi) and Numan Acar (Haissam Haqqani)
reprising their Season 4 roles as series regulars.
