IDCPC hosts delegation of cadres to strengthen ties between China, South Asia
In order to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation between the Communist Party of China (CPC) and major political parties of South Asian countries, the International Department of the Central Committee of the CPC (IDCPC) hosted a delegation of cadres from South Asian countries’ political parties recently.
The Pathfinder Foundation joined the delegation consisting of senior leaders from nine major political parties of seven countries in South Asia, including the Indian Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), Janata Panata Party (United), Pakistan Tehreek-e-insaf (PTI), Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Bangladesh Awami League (AL), Samajbadi Party Nepal (SPN), National Coalition of Afghanistan (NCA), Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) and PNC, Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM), and representatives from their affiliated think tanks and media.
The seven-country delegation team workshop was held in Guangdong Province and Guangxi Autonomous Region for eight days, to expand knowledge about China’s socio-economic development and targeted poverty alleviation measures, as well as
Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the achievements of the People’s Republic of China in the past 70 years.
Gamini Sarath Godakanda of Pathfinder Foundation, Sathintha Abeysuriya, member of central committee of SLFP and Bandara Basnayake, Media Adviser to the General Secretly of the SLFP represented Sri Lanka.
