Hollywood star Christian Bale’s prominent British accent leaves shocked fans ‘mind blown’

e has cemented his a-list status in huge Hollywood blockbusters such as The Machinist, American Psycho and Batman's The Dark Knight series. But despite being in the movie business since the eighties, Christian Bale's real accent has continued to leave fans shocked and confused. The star, who was born in Wales and grew up in Surrey, Dorset, and Bournemouth, appeared on BBC Breakfast on Wednesday with Matt Damon, where it was his prominent cockney twang that caught the attention of viewers. After being born in Pembrokeshire, Christian spent a lot of time relocating around the UK with his parents, and they even lived in Portugal. At 17, the American Hustle star moved to Los Angeles with his father following his parents' divorce, where he cemented his
acting credentials and became one of Hollywood's biggest names.
However, his accent once again reminded, and even surprised, fans of his humble upbringing across the pond. Following his interview with Matt, viewers rushed to social media to express their bewilderment. 'Is it just me that is shocked to find out Christian Bale is English and I've just heard his own accent?! Wtf.' 'I am the only person on the planet that didn't know this- hes batman for heaven's sake.' 'First of all..
