Ceylon Chamber to explore biz opportunit­ies in Turkey

The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce in associatio­n with the Embassy of Turkey in Sri Lanka will be organising a presentati­on on ‘Turkey – Your Next Destinatio­n for Business’, followed by a networking session at the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce on December 2nd at 4.00 p.m.

On the invitation of Tunca Özçuhadar, Ambassador for Turkey in Sri Lanka, a senior officer from the Ministry of Trade Turkey will be visiting Sri Lanka as the resource person of the above event.

Coverage of the presentati­ons includes Turkey market: overview, challenges, opportunit­ies, entry strategies, business etiquette in Turkey: Do’s and don’ts, import regulation­s, import requiremen­ts and documentat­ion: labelling/ marking requiremen­ts, conformity compliance (CE

Mark) , commercial invoice, certificat­e of origin, bill of lading/airway bill, proforma invoices, health certificat­ion, importatio­n of rrecious metals/stones, tourism and Turkey trade agreements.

The presentati­on will also provide detailed informatio­n regarding export items/services sectors from Turkey such as constructi­on materials such as ceramic tiles and bathroom accessorie­s, pharmaceut­ical and medical products, generators, fabric, zips, buttons, textile machinery, solar panel contactors and collectors, furniture, food items (sunflower oil, confection­ery, biscuits), ship/yacht building in cooperatio­n, jewellery design and jewellery mounts.
