Little Hearts is a project organised in collaboration with the Sri Lanka College of Pediatricians in aid of constructing a Cardiac and Critical Care Complex at the Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children. It is to be a national centre, with the objective of providing timely, appropriate and the best possible care to all children with heart diseases and critical illnesses in every district of Sri Lanka; irrespective of caste, creed, ethnicity or financial prowess.

Over 10,000 children each year are to be treated at this facility and the lives of more than 1,500 children who would otherwise have left this world before their due time would be saved. Many of the children, who are to receive this care, come from impoverished families that cannot meet the requirements necessary to provide the best possible healthcare to safeguard the lives of their children.
