Liam Hemsworth has sparked rumours of a romance with Australian model Gabriella Brooks, after introducing the brunette beauty to his parents Craig and Leonie in Byron Bay. The 21-year-old stunner appeared to hit it off with the 29-year-old actor’s mother and father as the group got to know each other over a family lunch, last Friday.
In October, Liam was linked to actress Maddison Brown, 22, after they enjoyed a date in New York, but it appears nothing progressed between the pair.
The Byron meetand-greet comes as he reportedly prepares to lodge paperwork for his divorce with his estranged wife Miley Cyrus. During the lunch date, Liam first gave his mother Leonie a big hug as they enjoyed a prechristmas family catch up in northern New South Wales.
Gabriella then greeted Leonie with a warm embrace after being introduced to the Hemsworth matriach. A smiling Liam watched on as the two women laughed together, before Gabriella shook hands with two family friends who had joined them for lunch. Gabriella appeared to get along famously with the Hemsworth clan, including Liam’s father Craig. Throughout the lunch, Gabriella struggled to wipe the smile off her face as she got to know Liam’s family, taking a seat next to The Hunger Games star at the table.
It is unclear how Liam and Gabriella know each other. The model, who is from Sydney’s Northern Beaches, shared a picture of a beach in Byron Bay to Instagram on December 1, cryptically captioning it with a heart. Liam returned to Australia last week after wrapping filming on his latest project, TV show Dodge and Miles, in Toronto, Canada. It is believed he will now remain Down Under for Christmas with his famous family.
