Neonyt fashion trade fair concludes in Berlin
Neonyt closed its doors yesterday after three successful trade fair days, since January 14, 2020.
It brought together key green fashion labels in the German capital for the first time in Hangar 4 of Berlin’s decommissioned Tempelhof Airport.
The challenges of sustainable fashion and suggesting positive ways to make a change is Neonyt’s mission ever since it was first launched over 10 years ago by the name of Green Showroom.
With almost 200 exhibiting fair fashion labels, more than 50 talks, panel discussions on two stages and other event formats, Neonyt once again provided its unique global status.
With progressive formats, forward-looking topics and numerous events, Neonyt painted a new picture of fashion, sustainability and innovation that is game-changing, relevant and fascinating.
A number of programmes, including lectures, conferences, forums and fashion shows were part of the fair and these programmes were run from the first day till the last.
The Neonyt Fashion Show at MBFW (Mercedesbenz Fashion Week) Berlin was held on the first day of the fair. The show presented the very best of spring/summer 2020 collections from a variety of national and international sustainable fashion labels in curated multi-brand looks.
Sri Lanka, a player in the global textile industry, is a home to many manufacturing processes for popular brands and focuses on eco-friendly textiles. Its consistently solid relationships and location makes it key in the industry.
Many of Sri Lanka’s companies have a motto to care for the people and their environment. Companies are more focused and not only create eco-friendly clothing but also have large manufacturing facilities that work with the environment, using innovative technology to assure that their focus is environmental sustainability.
Since there are many companies in Sri Lanka that take part in fashion shows of the fair, this exhibition is an opportunity for them to launch their products in the Berlin market to sustain Sri Lanka’s future export.
