Jefferson the cat is a fun loving cat with a heart full of love. Equal parts dignified and goofy, Jefferson keeps Amali and Zack amused with his antics. “He’s our baby and will always be. We’re glad we chose to adopt him and he is the most important member of our family.”
Q HOW DID YOU FIND YOUR PET?
We got him from a shelter.
Q WHAT’S THE STORY BEHIND THE NAME YOU’VE GIVEN?
We wanted a presidential name for him, because he’s goofy and dignified too. We ran through a lot of president’s names, and this one stuck.
Q WHAT ARE MEAL TIMES AND BATH TIMES LIKE?
He eats 3 full meals a day. We also give him treats around lunchtime. We bathe him once every 2 weeks.
Q WHAT’S HIS FAVOURITE THING TO DO?
Chilling by the window sill. Sleeping on our arms while we’re using the laptop.
Q WHAT’S THE NAUGHTIEST THING HE HAS DONE?
Oh wow. Where do I start? Let’s say he’s done a lot of naughty things. Still a very presidential cat in my mind.
Q HOW DOES HE REACT WHEN YOU RETURN HOME?
He immediately wants our attention and is super lovable and attentive.
Q DOES HE DO ANYTHING OUT OF THE ORDINARY THAT FASCINATES YOU?
He sits by ponds looking at fish when we take him to the park. He has NEVER put his paw in though. Not once. He just watches.

He knows his worth! Haha.

Q IS THERE ANYTHING YOU WISH YOU KNEW BEFORE YOU GOT A PET?
How emotionally invested you become in your pet. And also that low maintenance isn’t really low maintenance.
Q ANY ADVICE TO PET OWNERS OR PROSPECTIVE PET OWNERS?
Pets should be treated as well as you’d treat your family, because to them, you are their EVERYTHING. Their whole world. Make their world a good one.
