Hettige said that the most prime factor that is needed for the development of a country is peace among the different nationals and religions and Coexistence. He said in his speech: “Defending it is the duty and responsibility of all those who love peace.a society becomes colourful because of diversity.the ties between different religions and cultures make the society and the country beautiful. There should be space for difference of opinions and debates, which will lead to new inventions. We should stand to defeat attempts of certain extremists who are bent on destroying the society. “Yahapalanaya distorted the country.the responsibility of taking the country on the correct path is now bestowed on the Gotabaya-mahinda government. For this, the support of the masses irrespective of their party differences should be extended to them”.

We should admire what the estate workers are doing for the country.they are constantly receiving the attention of the President and the Prime Minister. It is a great pleasure to note that already certain decisions had been taken in securing their future.

The General Manager of the Thiruwana Ganga Estate of the Talawakelle Plantations Gimhan Jayathilleke and the Chairman of the Kovil T. Wijayakumar also spoke at this event.
