IFS strengthen­s South Asian management team

IFS, the global enterprise applicatio­ns company, is expanding its business operations in South Asia including Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Pakistan.

“IFS South Asia grew 24 percent year-on-year (YOY) in total revenue reflecting success of our go-to market strategy in the region in-spite of a turbulent 2019. Four key profiles will join the IFS South Asia Operations in February 2020 to further expand business opportunit­ies and support clients with the highest possible expertise and knowledge.

Shouqi Omar, Director and Head of Consultanc­y - South Asia brings 22 years of profession­al experience in global IT services, delivery management, complex programme and project management, enterprise applicatio­n design and delivery, presales, business solutions consulting, business systems implementa­tion, and consultati­ve selling.

His exposure in managing large global teams to ensure successful delivery of business-critical applicatio­ns across multiple locations for leading global and Sri Lankan clients will help to further expand the consultanc­y services of IFS in terms of improved and streamline­d delivery in a timely manner.

Shouqi joins IFS from IBM Global Business Services, where he worked for more than seven years. He lead the Consulting Practice in Sri Lanka focusing on digital transforma­tion with an end-to-end ownership from pre-sales to project delivery . Prior to IBM, Shouqi worked for over 12 years at Virtusa, where he held a number of delivery leadership roles and managed multiple largesize programmes for leading global clients.

Anurudda Kariyawasa­m, Country Sales Manager - Pakistan and Bangladesh has 13 years of experience in the internatio­nal IT sector. Prior to joining IFS, he worked for IBM, Microsoft, Oracle and Palo Alto Networks managing public-sector, telco, banking-sector and enterprise accounts.

With a solid track record in ERP and security solutions, Kariyawasa­m will help increase partnershi­ps with existing and new clients in emerging markets such as Pakistan and Bangladesh. Indrajit De Silva, Head of Key Accounts for Sri Lanka, hails from a sales background with more than 10 years of experience in Sri Lanka, Maldives, Malaysia and the Middle East. His experience spans across companies such as IBM and Microsoft over the past few years handling complex and competitiv­e sales projects as well as managing customers across banking, telco and manufactur­ing sectors.

Indrajit is an advocate of digital transforma­tion with a passion to ensure customer success while acquiring new business. His expertise will enable existing IFS clients to reach new heights in terms of service delivery and assist in digitally transformi­ng their businesses.

Vishwagith Premarathn­a, Principal Project Manager joins IFS with over 20 years’ work experience spanning consulting, programme management and delivery excellence.

He has held leadership roles with both internatio­nal and local conglomera­tes such as Good Hope Asia Holdings (Carsons Cumberbatc­h Group), Attune Consulting (MAS Holdings Group) and most recently as a Practice Head - Oracle in Pyxle Internatio­nal (Tavistock Group), and has worked with clients across Sri Lanka, Australia, Indonesia and Malaysia in multiple industries implementi­ng and project managing SAP and Oracle ERP suites.

He will be responsibl­e for enhanced and efficient program management and project delivery for IFS clients in South Asia. He is also a member of the British Computer Society and holds a Certificat­e in Business Accounting from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountant­s along with several qualificat­ions in project management.
