PARADISE IN BLOOM

-

The members of Shien Ikebana and Floral Arts Society (SIFAS) will present their annual floral art exhibition on the 8th & 9th of February 2020 from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm at the “Ruby Hall” of the Marino Beach Hotel, Colombo 03. A limited number of tickets will be made available at the entrance.

As the name suggests, this exhibition will feature more than fifty very creative and absolutely breathtaking arrangements in both Western and Ikebana styles. Many natural materials that are freely available in Sri Lanka will be very cleverly and artistically incorporated into these arrangements. Hence, it is a show that should not be missed.

There will be a demonstration by Harijanto Setiawan who is an internationally acclaimed expert in floral designing. Setiawan is also an Architect and Entrepreneur based in Singapore. This demonstration will be held on Saturday the 8th February at 4.30 pm at the same venue.

The ticket purchased to view the exhibition will also be valid to view the demonstration.

The members of our Club, have been immensely fortunate to have followed many training programmes conducted by Setiwan and this will undoubtedly be seen in their exhibits.

Our Society always promotes the splendour of flower arranging to go hand in hand with a charity project. The proceeds from this year’s event will go towards partly financing the “Shana Medura

Project” established by the Oblates of Mary Immaculate (OMI).
