George Steuarts’ Sterill unveils advanced hand sanitizer gel to retail market
George Steuarts’ Sterill, a renowned and trusted brand in industrial and commercial sanitisation and cleaning, recently introduced an advanced hand sanitizer gel to the retail market in response to public demand for a high-quality hand sanitizer, in the fight against COVID-19.
The advanced gel form sanitizer is gentle on the hands, with the addition of olive extracts, to keep hands moisturised as well. It is also proven to kill 99.99 percent of harmful germs.
According to the World Health Organisation (WHO) guidelines on hand hygiene in healthcare, COVID19 is an acute respiratory disease that is transmitted through direct contact with contaminated surfaces.
However, the virus is easily inactivated by chemical disinfectants. Therefore, the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends the use of an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that is at least 60 percent alcohol, while the WHO mandates 70 percent alcohol to wipe down surfaces, where the use of bleach is not suitable.
In line with all stringent international guidelines, Sterill sanitizer products contain 70 percent alcohol and the manufacturing facility has been registered with the National Medicines Regulatory Authority, to ensure safety and compliance.
Sterill advanced hand sanitizer gel will be made available at pharmacies, A-grade grocery shops and supermarkets islandwide and comes in sizes of 50/100 and 300ml.
The sanitizer range also includes five-litre bulk industrial cans of alcoholic hand rub, sanitising spray and surface sanitizer, which have been in the market for over eight years.
Sterill covers a range of applications including personal sanitisation, disinfectant booths and sanitising chambers and surfaces such as counter tops, tabletops and chairs.
This unprecedented COVID19 global pandemic has brought many challenges, including meeting the much-needed demand for products to assist with cleaning and sanitising. Sterill stands proud to be part of the effort in meeting these needs with the launch of sanitising products to complement its existing line of cleaning products that cater to retail consumers.
Sterill currently covers an extensive range of automotive, professional, home and personal cleaning products and the development of these products has always supported the company in building trustworthiness in the market.
Sterill is manufactured in a state-of-the-art factory, with a focus on quality and safety from the factory floor to final user. Combined with personnel with extensive laboratory and production experience, the company provides its clients with world-class cleaning solutions through Sterill.
