PREMIER ASSURES UNBIASED OPPORTUNIT­IES TO BUSINESS COMMUNITY

Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa last week assured that the SLPP Government will ensure equal opportunit­ies for the members of the business community irrespecti­ve of their political and racial affiliatio­ns.

Speaking at a forum held at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel in Colombo with the members of the business community, Prime Minister Rajapaksa said that previous government did not accord the opportunit­y for the business community to attend at discussion­s.

“There is a vast difference between that era and the present one. We are open to other parties and what they have to say. We always resolve issues through dialogues,” he said.

when we handed over the country in 2014. The value of the rupee had depreciate­d rapidly during the Yahapalana Government’s tenure.
