Illustration of processes within an organisation through visualised models provides numerous advantages, such as facilitating optimisation, continuous improvement and innovation of operations.

Scandinavian technology company 2c8 develops a stateof-the-art digital modelling tool, 2c8apps, which helps organisations visualise everyday workflows and business activities. This tool is used by small and large-scale organisations alike, to improve their business operations.

2c8 recently partnered with Creative Software to establish a dedicated research and development team in Sri Lanka to meet increasing demand for its product. Despite COVID19 travel restrictions, Creative Software seamlessly rose to the challenge of onboarding a new client remotely, facilitating necessary working from home (WFH) infrastructure to pave the way for continuous communication to bridge the gap of physically meeting with the client. When asked about the reason for the selection of Creative Software as their development partner, 2c8 Project Manager and Product Owner Tove Kroon said, “Our mission is to build the easiest business modelling tool in the world. We haven’t had any prior experience with offshoring. Nevertheless, partnering with Creative Software confirmed to us that we have made the correct decision. Today we have a team of passionate and technically savvy engineers at Creative Software, who have been invaluable for our product’s growth since the inception of the partnership. They have delivered beyond our expectations and contributed with good suggestions for adding value to our product. We are looking forward to continue working with Creative Software and visit the beautiful island nation in the near future”

Creative Software Director Software Engineering Damitha Liyanage said, “Engaging 2c8 during COVID-19 meant navigating new territory. The usual practice is for clients to visit Creative Software and meet the team or for our engineers to travel to be on-site at client offices. Due to travel restrictions, onboarding 2c8 was done completely remotely. However, the results could not have been more perfect. Our team - a group of young and talented engineers - did exceptionally well amidst challenging times. Along with our colleagues in Sweden, we are thrilled to be part of developing a world-class product to enable international organisations achieve their business objectives via accurate process planning and modelling.”
