Adfactors PR, India’s largest public relations consultancy, has constituted its first-ever ‘Millennial Board’, a 16-member shadow board of directors comprising millennials under 30 years, to support its senior leadership with Gen-y perspectives in shaping organisational agenda of the new decade.

The Millennial Board of Adfactors PR is a transformational initiative to enrich the organisation’s decisionmaking with the mindset of new-age thinking from an empowered group of young leaders. The board will provide perspectives on issues ranging from growth strategies to digital transformation, learning and development programmes, to diversity and inclusion initiatives collectively aimed at fostering an organisational culture of innovation.

The creation of the board followed a rigorous process. Each business unit nominated three individuals for the selection process, which included presentations and interviews by a panel,

including the head of HR, chief operating officer and managing director of the firm in India.

In addition to the nine selected through the aforesaid process, seven additional members are specially appointed to enhance diversity on the board through the representation of different cultures, regions and orientations.

Speaking on the initiative, Adfactors PR Co-founder and Managing Director Madan Bahal said, “The Millennial Board is one more in a series of transformational initiatives to prepare Adfactors PR for the next decade. It will not only enrich us with novel perspectives of the young generation but will also provide a voice in the decision and policymaking process of the firm to our largest constituency and prepare them to lead from a position of strength in the years to come.”

Adfactors PR Lanka Founding Chief Executive Rezani Aziz said, “Equipped with fresh millennial perspectives that are blended with the unprecedented depth of experience of our most senior PR professionals, we are ramping up our capabilities to radically

enhance service delivery to our clients. Our end goal is to achieve a common strategic agenda across businesses – that of empathising and connecting with a new generation of stakeholders.”

Adfactors PR Lanka commenced operations six years ago. The firm has registered the fastest growth in the public relations industry and now stands as the largest independent PR consultancy in Sri Lanka. Launched with a specialised focus on corporate and financial communications, Adfactors PR Lanka now derives a large part of its revenue from the public affairs practice. A recent addition is the strategic communications practice, which manages highprofile industry issues and communications towards policy reform.

The firm has extensive experience in issues and crisis management using its proprietary tools in social media monitoring and more recently has added new clients to its growing technology and healthcare verticals.

The Millennial Board will have five sub-committees, focusing on digital transformation, innovation, learning and development, organisational culture and growth.
