World Vision contracts Hayleys Solar for rural population upliftment project
Hayleys Solar is Sri Lanka’s No.1 Solar EPC company (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) which has commissioned a significant capacity of approximately 50MWP out of the island’s total installation capacity of 330MWP to-date.
Hayleys Solar is a brand of Fentons Group. This year, Fentons Limited is celebrating 100 years of its existence in Sri Lanka, having served some of the most renowned establishments in government, financial, hospitality and corporate sectors in the country.
Hayleys Solar has been contracted to provide power and energy for projects of World Vision Lanka, a Christian, relief, development, and advocacy organization dedicated to working with children, families, and communities to overcome poverty and injustice.
Subsequent to the supply, installation, and successful commissioning of the World Vision Head Office at Colombo 9 for a total Solar PV Solution capacity of 52.47kwp, Hayleys Solar has been commissioned to provide power and energy for World Vision’s projects such as water treatment plants (in Polonnaruwa) plus several water boards and hospitals in Jaffna. Presently, a total of 199kwp capacity has been provided for such projects.
Established in 1878 by Chas. P. Hayley as a trading house in Galle specialising in import and export, the Hayleys Group has since grown to serve as a centrepiece of the Sri Lankan economy while maintaining a global presence of manufacturing and marketing offices across five regions with business interests spanning a total of 16 sectors.
