Acorn Travels opens new branch in Kurunegala

-

Acorn Travels opened the fourth office in its network, in the city of Kurunegala recently.

A leading IATA accredited outbound travel company, Acorn Travels has steadily expanded its operational footprint across Fort, Kandy, Nawala and now in Kurunegala, to better serve its growing customer base.

Incorporated in 1973, Acorn Travels (formerly known as Hemas Travels) has been creating ‘inspiring journeys’ across many global markets and excelled in a customer centric approach to travel related services for both its corporate and leisure client base.

Having an experienced group of service professionals who understand customer needs and cater to the demands of the discerning traveler has carved its very own niche in the Sri Lankan outbound travel sector. The opening of the new office in Kurunegala is part of the long-term expansion plan of the Acorn Group.

“The opening of the branch in Kurunegala is an important milestone in our long-term growth plan, which involves establishing our operational presence across Sri Lanka to better serve the local market whilst expanding our operating footprint internationally,” said Malinga Arsakularatne, CEO, Acorn Group.

Having a strong presence in strategic locations across Sri Lanka while working with key markets in the region will further enhance the customer support and product offering across multiple markets.

Acorn Travels offers a myriad of products and services with both global and local airlines, cruise lines, coach tours and Euro Rail. Visa consultation and lounge bookings are also services offered to customers while corporate clients are better served with the partnership agreement with Corporate Travel Management (CTM).

“We are the international representatives for Royal Caribbean Cruises, Azamara Club Cruises, Celebrity X Cruises in Sri Lanka and the General Sales Agent (GSA) for Globus Family of Brands (GFOB),” added Arsakularatne.

Globally there is a positive shift in travel trends and several markets have eased requirements pertaining to the covid-19 protocol encouraging resumption in international travel.

However, the sensitive nature of travel encourages clients to seek the consultation of travel professionals to ease concerns, streamline travel documentation and visa processing to ensure overall ease and travel satisfaction.

The Acorn Group is a leading leisure, travel and aviation conglomerate operating in Sri Lanka, Maldives, Thailand and the

UAE. Keeping in line with the value of thinking boldly and evolving with the growing customer base, the organization has diversified into business management services, education management and very recently the freight and logistics sector.
