Inaugural MCA T+10 Cricket Tournament enter Knock-out Stage

The Group round robin stage of the Assetline Insurance Brokers (Pvt) Ltd ( a subsidiary of David Pieris Group of Companies),sponsored inaugural MCA T+10 Cricket Tournament 2024got off to start last week-end,april 27 and 28 at four venues, namely MCA, De Mazanod College Kandana, Dharmapala Vidyalaya, Pannipitiya and BRC.

Following are the brief match results of the 24 matches completed:

Seylan Bank beat Ansell Textiles by 10 wickets;

Ansell Textiles – 68/0 (10), Seylan Bank – 69/0 (3.3) Peoples Leasing Co. beat Ansell Textiles by nine wickets

Ansell Tex.–64/6 (10),PLC –67/1 (5.4)

Seylan Bank beat DPGC by four wickets

DPGC – 92/6 (10), Seylan Bank – 93/6 (9.3)

The match between PLC & DPGC was abandoned due to rain.

Recovery Room beat Hilton Colombo Residencies by nine wickets

LOLC beat Softlogic Life by 09 wickets

The tournament will be continued,this weekend with the knock-out Quarter Finals at De Mazanod College, Kandana on Saturday May 4 and the Semi Finals and the Final on May 5at the MCA Grounds.
