SLC UNDER 23 DIVISION I CRICKET Madura, Ashan, Ishan put Navy on top

Half tons by Madura Madusanka, Ashan Ranasinghe and Ishan Abeysekera helped Navy SC to come out on top against Bloomfield in the second day’s play in their SLC Under 23 Division I cricket encounter played at Welisara yesterday.

Madura cracked a top knock of 83 which included eight boundaries and three sixes while Ashan made a 56 with seven boundaries and a six and Ishan was unbeaten on 54 which had seven boundaries.

Moors SC took the upper hand against SLPA CC when play stopped on day two in the match played at Braybrooke Place. Skipper Shehan Jayasuriya along with Kaushalya Gajasinghe and Chalana de Silva shared nine wickets between them to bowl out SLPA CC resuming on their overnight score of 90 for 8 to a score of 143.

Colts have already taken a first lead against NCC in the match played at the Colts ground. NCC resuming on their overnight score of 61 for 5 was bowled out for 102 in reply to Colts score of 234.

Colts batting the second time made the identical score of 234 setting target of 367 runs for NCC who ended day two on 53 for no loss.

CCC had taken the advantage against Army SC on the second day in the match played at CCC
