AAP Mega Training

Academy for Administra­tive Profession­als, revolution­ized leader in Secretaria­l studies and skills developmen­t carried out a series of trainings recently, thus reinstatin­g her position as the renowned training institute.

AAP Executive Director, Mrs Sunethra Jayaratne Nugawela, who has carved a niche as an Administra­tive Profession­al, conducted these tailor made courses/ workshops to Praag Institute, Peradeniya University and Commercial Bank Secretaria­l/ stenograpy staff. The success story continues with requests to continue these programmes by respective institutio­ns.

Another unique feature is AAP, joining hands with JICA, to conduct tailor made Tamil course to its Volunteers and at present, its second session is in progress.

National and internatio­nal courses in secretaria­l, namely Executive Secretary Higher Diploma; Diploma and Certificat­e Level in Secretaria­l/ Administra­tive Practice, 2nd intake for the year is now open and registrati­on will close on 25th July. AAP is now spreading its wings to Kandy and arrangemen­ts are being finalized to commence AAP courses in Kandy very soon.

Residentia­l Seminar, the most looked forward to for Higher Education in 2012, the highest national honour that can be bestowed upon a university. It is also leading the way in terms of sustainabi­lity as the overall top performing ‘green’ university in Britain.

Two years into the partnershi­p, there are now 700 Plymouth students enrolled on Plymouth degrees at NSBM, with an array of internatio­nal opportunit­ies set to come online in the coming weeks. For example, the first Plymouth students will be able to study for a year at NSBM from this September; while the first Sri Lankan students will be travelling to Plymouth from this summer, to either study at the University’s summer school or for a full academic year.

So it is already becoming clear that this special partnershi­p has a very bright future in terms of the exceptiona­l experience it has committed to deliver in Sri Lanka – working together to create exciting and potentiall­y life-changing opportunit­ies for Sri Lanka’s leaders of tomorrow.
