The new MINI in Sri Lanka

The brand new series of MINI was introduced to Sri Lankan automobile fans last week by Prestige Automobile Pvt. Ltd, the leading automobile importer in Sri Lanka.

The iconic car with rich British roots that is renowned for its driving fun and go-kart handling was first introduced in 1959. It has since undergone evolutiona­ry refinement, with the new MINI undergoing vast improvemen­t in terms of its driving fun, quality and comfort. Yet, the new MINI

has managed to preserve the same go-kart handling and individual flair that made the brand so irresistib­le from the start.

Prestige Automobile Pvt. Ltd will be introducin­g two MINI models; the new-generation MINI as well as the MINI Countryman.

The new MINI Showroom is expected to be ready by 15th September and will be located at No 5 Castle Street, Colombo-08. The new MINI Designed to be bigger, to drive better, and packed with more technologi­cal innovation than before, the new MINI continues to be the leading original of the premium small car segment. For the first time both 3-cylinder and 4-cylinder engines are introduced, all featuring MINI Twin Power Turbo Technology. The petrol engines include turbocharg­ing, direct fuel injection and variable camshaft control on the intake and exhaust side (double VANOS). The MINI Countryman This is the first fourdoor MINI with a body measuring more than four meters in length and comes with a large tailgate and a versatile interior offering space for up to five people. It can even be ordered with allwheel drive.
