Forbes Travel Guide announces 2015 Star Ratings

Forbes Travel Guide recently unveiled its 57th list of worldwide Star Rating recipients, including 18 new Five- Star hotels, 46 new Four- Star hotels and 26 new hotels in the recommende­d category, a media release issued by the company stated.

As Forbes Travel Guide expands its ratings worldwide, the number of FiveStar hotels now totals 115 — the most in the company’s history, it was stated.

Forbes Travel Guide recognised the finest properties in the markets it rates, which also named 10 new Five- Star restaurant­s, bringing the total to 55. Seven new spas achieved Forbes Travel Guide’s highest honour, pushing the tally to 48 Five-Star spas, the release stated.

For Singapore, Forbes Travel Guide had awarded a total of five new wins this year – one new Four-Star Hotel, one new Five- Star Restaurant, two new Four- Star Restaurant­s and one new Four-Star Spa, to Marina Bay Sands Singapore, the release said.“It is an honour for Marina Bay Sands and our establishm­ents to be recognized by the renowned Forbes Travel Guide. This achievemen­t underscore­s our world- class services – our prestigiou­s Five- star win for Waku Ghin and the recognitio­n for our Hotel, Banyan Tree Spa, CUT and Osteria Mozza inspire us to do even better. We will continue to reinvest, reinvent and re-define the best experience­s for our guests from all over the world,” said Ian Wilson, Senior Vice President of Hotel Operations at Marina Bay Sands.

Besides the new wins, the Five- Star recipients for hotels, restaurant­s and spas in Singapore were similar as last year including The Fullerton Bay Hotel and Capella Singapore. These wins have further boosted Singapore’s position as a luxury tourist destinatio­n, it was stated.
