Inauguration of new Mathematics Laboratory at Saiva Mangaiyar Vidyalayam
The Mathematics Laboratory of Saiva Mangaiyar Vidyalayam, Colombo-6, was ceremoniously inaugurated on February 2 by Mrs. Sivanandhini Duraisamy, who is currently the president of Saiva Mangaiyar Kalagam and the manager of Saiva Mangaiyar Vidyalayam.
This Maths activity lab was initiated with the aim of achieving 100%k pass rate in Mathematics at G.C.E. O/L through raising the level of efficiency of each and every student.
The help offered by the President and active members of Saiva Mangaiyar Kalagam is greatly commendable. At the same time Vidyalayam greatly proclaims the Principal Mrs. Sasidevi Sivanesan who is well-versed in the field of Mathematics for offering her valuable suggestions and guidance. The school gratefully recalls the untiring efforts of Mrs. Arunthathy Rajavijayan, the In- Service-Advisor of Mathematics (Colombo) in brining this lab into life.
This lab is designed with elaborate care by the teacher-in- charge Miss. Bamini Balasubramaniam and the active members of the team – Mrs. Sivanesadevi Vigneshwaran, Mrs. Manjula Jegapriyan, Mrs Vasuki Premkumar and Mrs. SuthaSenthuran. This is a project of Miss Bamini Balasubramaniam and Mrs. Manjula Jegapriyan as a part of their B.Ed. course. Miss Bamini Balasubramaniam being a Mathematics teacher of this school, her aim is to produce 100% result in Mathematics at G.C.E. O/L by making maximum use of this laboratory.
The school strongly believes that the students would highly benefit through the activity lab which is carefully crafted by the team. The Vice Principals, Mrs. V. Ganeshan and Miss SubashiniSivasubramaniam, Sectional Heads and Maths teachers attended the occasion.
