Annual Prize Giving at The International School Galle

The Third Annual Prize Giving of TIS Galle was held on March 13 with the participation of Minister of Education, Southern Provincial Council, Mr. Chandima Rasaputra, as the Chief Guest. The students who had excelled in their academic studies and those who had displayed all-round talents in Co-curricular activities, were also felicitated for their dedication and commitment. In addition, students who had scored best results at the IGCSE O/L and the IAL, were also rewarded. The award winners received their Awards from the Chief Guest with immense pride and the parents present applauded their children whole-heartedly. The Chief Guest in his speech, stressed the importance for the students to realise their potential and work towards their goals and convert the negatives into positives. His words were not only indicative of the achievements of the prize winners but also motivation for the rest of the students. This occasion marked a significant chapter in the history of TIS Galle, as it has once again, displayed to the world that the prime responsibility of an academic institution is to create personalities replete with knowledge, as well as, multi dimensional skills.
