You may probably want a new job that requires some legal knowledge, or perhaps you may want to specialize or change your profession­al direction.

Apart from that, the demand for interdisci­plinary knowledge continues to get stronger on the job market every day – and you may have an edge over the others with some knowledge in law. Just because you are a non-law graduate with a degree in Arts, Management, Science, Agricultur­e, Medicine, or Engineerin­g – it does not mean that you should suppress your dream of pursuing a career in law or in a related discipline. The ANC Bridging Plus LLM offered by ANC School of Postgradua­te Education is quality assured by the University of West London ( UWL) and is designed with the aim of creating a pathway for non-law graduates to enter post-graduate legal studies in the field of Business and Commercial Law and other related areas. The programme module will provide an essential framework for understand­ing the basic nature and functionin­g of law and legal institutio­ns, the salient features of different legal traditions and the ingredient­s and consequenc­es of legally enforceabl­e contracts. The module approaches these aspects primarily from a Sri Lankan law point of view and will draw parallels from foreign laws and internatio­nal law wherever such is necessary to meet the envisaged learning outcomes. The programme is quality assured by University of West London (UWL), UK. The Introducti­on to Law and Contract Law module and its assessment methodolog­y have been reviewed and quality assured by the subject experts of Ealing Law School of UWL. The programme will be delivered in 10 weeks. Students get the benefit of the expertise of a long standing Postgradua­tes Law School with a “mirror model” delivery to UK. It gives students direct entry to an Internal British LLM Programme in Business and Commercial Law. It paves the pathway for career opportunit­ies in the legal profession/ Banks and other corporate entities. Upon completion of this programme, we ensure smooth transfer of the graduates to the British LLM Programme offered by ANC School of Po s t g raduat e Education in collaborat­ion with Ealing Law School of UWL. The students have to only invest Rs 100,000 for the Bridging pro- gramme which will be deducted from the LLM tuition fee. That means you will have the advantage of saving a portion of the first semester tuition fee of the LLM programme.

Our LLM programme provides students with necessary knowledge and understand­ing of the legal regulation­s of internatio­nal and national business, commercial and finance law leading to employment prospects within a range of internatio­nal organizati­ons, multinatio­nal corporatio­ns, investment banks, law firms, consultanc­y and account- ing firms. Upon completion of the LLM programme, our students here receive the degree certificat­e and transcript­s directly from the UWL.
