Rain has the last laugh at MCA 'F' Div.

Rain once again played havoc with MCA Cricket, when 14 teams went home empty handed and the remaining played in bits and pieces in the ongoing MCA ‘F’ division 25 Over League Tournament 2016, continued last weekend.

The players who hogged the limelight despite the rain were: Buddhi Ekanayake (55) and Dulanja Lakmal (53) from HSBC ‘C’ (engaged in a 105 runs opening stand in 83 balls Vs. Tin Pack); Opening batsman inclusive of sixes and a dozen of fours Vs. CMACGM Containers); Opening batsman Tharanga Indika from Nippon Paint (81 not out in 34 balls, inclusive of seven sixes and five fours Vs. United Tractors); Kushan Akalanka from Union Bank (79 in 54 balls, with of four sixes and eight fours Vs Coats Thread) and Premesh Perera from Allianz Insurance (4.4-0-195 Vs. Bharti Airtel).

The tournament will be continued this week-end with a card of 22 matches. - LR SAGT beat Allianz Insurance by 8 wickets
