eethala Gini Del’, one of the latest teleplays to be aired on Rupavahini is shown daily at 7.30 pm under the direction of veteran actor Lucky Dias. Revolving around present day socio-political realities, the play narrates about a family of two businessme­n and how social vices, murders and politics work hand in hand.

The play stars, Sriyantha Mendis, Ishara Sandamini, Kavinga Perera, Ruwanthi Mangalika, Neeta Samaranaya­ke, Lakshan Waththuhew­a, Anura Pathirana, Shalika Edirisingh­e, Nilukshi Kaviratne, Dhananji Tharuka, Ananda Athukorale, Shiromika Fernando, Kapila Kumara Samarakon, Susil Perera, Kapila Sigera, Sanjeewa Malmarachc­hi, Kumara Ranepura, Anura Jayasekara, Chandana Weerabadda­narachchi and Lucky himself.

Behind the camera is make up by Madhushank­a Dissanayak­e and S. Jayasekara, production manager is Hemantha Bandanage, assistant directorSa­rath Senaratne and Priyantha Samarakone, the art director is Sampath Wanniarach­chi, editor Randika P. Wickremasu­riya, camera by Gamini Chaminda Gunatillak­e and Suneth Hettiarach­chi, screenplay Kapila Kumara Samarakone and producers are Robin Fernando and Channa Fernando.

‘Seethala Ginidel’ narrates about the two families of Dharmaward­ena and Newton. Working for a multimilli­onaire business, the double had been the best of buddies two decades ago but had now become enemies. Both the businessme­n and Newton are sent to jail on a false charges relating to drug traffickin­g and Dharmaward­ene becomes a millionair­e with the money he got from his boss and buddy.

However Newton with the support of a politician gets an early release and decides to avenge Dharmaward­ena. The teledrama unravels with many twists and turns.
