Dasun shines in DSS’s massive win

Dasun Bimasha put up a fine all-round performanc­e for DSS to help them coast to a massive 212-run win against Wadduwa MMV in the first round match of the Under-17 Division I Cricket Tournament played at Wadduwa.

Dasun’s knock of 108 saw, DSS taking first lease of the wicket posting a formidable score of 282 and later his impressive figures of 5 for 17 helped them to bundle out the home team for a paltry 70 runs.

Sanka Madubashan­a cracked a ton while Salith Fernando hit a half ton helping St Anthony’s record a 46 runs win over De Mazenod in a first round match of the Under-17 Division I cricket tournament played at Kandana. St. Anthony’s taking first lease of the wicket made a formidable score of 269 and then restricted the home team for a score of 223.

A half ton by Movin Subasinghe paved the way for Wesley to secure an easy six wicket win over St. Benedict’s in the match played at Campbell Park while
