President’s Message

As we humbly celebrate the 50th Golden anniversary of our life this year, I take the opportunity of thanking the Almighty for bestowing His abundant blessings upon us in all forms and empowering us to contribute richly towards the betterment and upliftment of our Alma mater St. Benedict’s College as the ’85 Batch.

Spanning over 31 years, our batch continues to produce respectable and exemplary Benedictines to the community, thus keeping the Green and White flag soaring high. The appointment of the 38th Director of St. Benedict’s College Rev. Bro. Janaka Fonseka F.S.C. Patron of our batch is one such example.

Throughout the past decades, we were successful in initiating various measures to assure the best for our Alma mater, and these endeavors’ were made possible solely due to the invaluable support extended by our batch mates.

Our contributions include felicitating teachers, supplying purified water to the Primary and Upper School Staff rooms, organizing a float at the College Walk as well as presenting a token of appreciation to Mr. Meril, our grade seven master, in view of the Golden anniversary of his teaching career.

As the ’85 Batch President, I am indeed honoured and privileged to express my heartfelt gratitude to all those who have joined us in celebrating this milestone. Furthermore, I deeply appreciate the efforts of the organizing committee in bringing together all loved ones by means of a joyous evening.
