Sri Lanka’s VizuaMatix, taking the next step in their commitment to providing reliable, cost-effective data visualisation and monetisation solutions to telecommunication service providers, was among the sponsors of this year’s Policy Control Conference held recently in Berlin.

The annual conference is an exclusive gathering of organisations in the business of creating more effective systems for monitoring and monetising telecommunications services for a better end-user experience. The highlights of the 2016 conference included discussaaions on a number of interesting topics such as creating added value and customer centric services, using policy management to add intelligence to offload decisions, areas which VizuaMatix has been passionately delving into so as to equip clients for shifts in the future of telco services. This is particularly relevant as end-users of telecom services demand more value from their providers in the face of rising costs, according to a company media release.

Being part of this global platform and sponsoring it among big names in the industry such as Oracle, Openet, Nokia, Siemens and Alepo, among others, was an opportunity for VizuaMatix not only to bring its offering to a larger audience but to benchmark it against other cutting-edge solutions. tions for them that are on par with those offered by global players for a much lower investment.

Theekshana Kumara, CEO of VizuaMatix, says that the company’s willingness to embrace new challenges was an asset when showcasing the company’s big data solutions amongst the giants at the conference, where they made a surprising discovery: “We went to the conference with the mind-set that we were going to be a young, never heard of company getting into a game with big players, but sitting at the same table and discussing capabilities, we realised how strong our solutions were, the sophistication of the technology we use, and that gave us more confidence and energy to take it to the next level”.

To stay at the top of their game, a focus on research and development is vital, and indeed the company has had a culture of foresight ingrained in it, with the VizuaMatix CEO seeing the need for telcos to pay more attention to big data and how it could impact their business as far back as 2008. This was one of the factors that led to the birth of VizuaMatix and its success in the years that followed.
