Annesley to rock Moratuwa

In conjunction with the 75th anniversary of the inauguration of the Holy Emmanuel Youth Fellowship, Moratuwa, a gala night of songs and entertainment brought to life by Sri Lankan popsinger Annesley Malawanna and his band.

The Youth Fellowship of Holy Emmanuel Church Moratuwa, which was the first Youth Fellowship to be formed within the Diocese of Colombo in the Church of Ceylon, is celebrating 75 years of ‘Empowering Youth’ in August 2016 and it calls us to gather together and celebrate this jubilee humbly and boldly in Christ.

The climax of the celebrations will be a Sing Along featuring the legendary Sri Lankan popsinger Annesley Malawanna which is to be held on Saturday, the 16th of July 2016 at 7.00 pm at the Holy Emmanuel Church Parish Hall. This is a fund raising project organised on a grand scale and will include plenty of entertainment for all age groups.

The many events and activities organised in conjunction with this celebration include a thanksgiving service, mission services, blood donation campaign, outreach projects for a needy family or parish, anniversary celebrations, cricket tournament and visiting the young people in the parish.

As the renowned artiste Annesley Malawana celebrates 50 years in the field of music, he has joined hands with us for this event, where many music lovers from Moratuwa and around will be present. To light up this gala show there will be guest performance by renowned singers Shyami Fonseka and Christopher Paul.
